GRANT:  I believe the Ark of the Covenant is not lost.  It is indestructible.  It could not be lost permanently.   I believe that Ark, which contained the Shekinah Glory of God …was taken down to Ethiopia 3,000 years ago, during the reign of Solomon.  He started out well, but by marrying pagan wives in the hundreds, he even allowed them to bring pagan idols right into the temple.  He became an apostate toward the end of his life.

We know that he had relations with the Queen of Sheba, the Queen of Ethiopia, who traveled over 2,000 miles to see him, the wisest man who ever lived.  The Bible tells us that he had no aversion to women.  He loved women.  He married everyone he could, including the Pharaoh’s daughter.  The Bible says that when she left, Solomon gave her many gifts plus the desire of her heart.  Now what would the desire of the heart be of a woman, the Queen of Ethiopia, if it would not be to have a royal son, fathered by the man whom she came two thousand miles to visit?  The greatest king the world has ever seen.

The Ethiopian records…tells us that they married, and had a son.  He would be an equal descendant with the rest of the sons of David and Solomon.  The Royal Family of Ethiopia still lives.  They are in England now, in exile, but they still live.

What the Ethiopians say is that their son grew to become a righteous Jew, and at age 19, seeing the apostasy of his father, and now his mother died.  He had to return to Ethiopia, 2,000 miles to the south.  He knew that he would never come back.

His father, according to the Royal Chronicles of Ethiopia, made a replica of the Ark; a perfect replica with the same materials.  You couldn’t tell them apart.  Intending that he would take the replica, but apparently the story is that this young Prince Menelik, born to Queen of Sheba, recognizing the apostasy of the father, with the cooperation of the High Priest switched Arks.  He took the real one to Ethiopia without the approval of Solomon, not know the switch.

Solomon was left in his apostasy with the fake replica.  They intended not to steal it, but to hold it for safe keeping until Israel came to its senses spiritually, which it never did.  It is a down hill history.

INTERVIEWER: Correct.

GRANT: Now, after 3,000 years, in 1989 at the end of the Ethiopian Civil War, as ten thousands and thousands more of Ethiopians called the Black Jews, or the Falasha exiles of Israel, they returned to Israel.  At that time, and I have 3 independent sources…

A Christian Canadian diplomat who was Canter’s ambassador to NATO, who was an adviser to the Emperor of Ethiopia traveled at the end of the civil war to Ethiopia, at the age of 76, in poor health, to save the Royal Family that were under House Arrest.  And as we know from history, Royals get killed a the end of civil wars so that they can’t restore the monarchy.  He saved them.

When he came back to Vancouver, I met him.  He told me a story.  It has been confirmed by an Israeli Air Force General and an Ethiopian Air Force General.

Israel made an arrangement with the outgoing communist leaders.  Not only did they pay millions of dollars in bribes to let the Jews go, but they paid a $42 million bribe to let the Ark go.  In cooperation with the righteous Christian priests in northern Ethiopia, in Aksum, where the Ark had been in safe keeping for 3,000 years at the Church of Mary, underground in a temple.

They flew in with a group of Israeli commandos, all of them Levites, so that they would follow the prescription in the Bible, carrying the Ark on staves on their shoulders, onto a plane, where it flew back to Israel where it is now held in safe keeping, secretly.

Several rabbis who are well connected to the Sanhedrin have confirmed to me that it is there in Israel, waiting for the sign from God to build the temple.

Now, let me give you something that Jeremiah says.  Jeremiah, writing 25 centuries ago, said in Chapter 3, Verses 16 and 17:

QUOTE:  Jeremiah 3:16-17 [King James Version (KJV)]

16 And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the Lord, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the Lord: neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit it; neither shall that be done any more.

17 At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the Lord; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the Lord, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart.  END QUOTE

Now think about it, for 2500 years the Jews haven’t talked about the Ark, haven’t visited the Ark.  It hasn’t been the center of their worship.  Right? So why would Jeremiah say that WHEN the Messiah comes, in the millennium he comes, that Israel will stop visiting the Ark, stop talking about the Ark…stop doing that thing with the Ark, unless just before the Messiah came.

Remember, the Tabernacle at Temple had one purpose: to house the Ark.

Remember that the AntiChrist, when he rises from the dead, after he is assassinated…half way through that 7 year Tribulation…he is Satanically resurrected from an assassination wound to his neck and head.  When he does so, he goes into the rebuilt temple, into the House of God, and he defiles it. And the Bible says he does his strange act.

What if the Ark of the Covenant that holds the Shekinah Glory is in the rebuilt temple, and he somehow touches it…sits on the Mercy seat…something…that would explain why God says, “When you see the abomination of desolation standing in the Holy place” run to the hills.  The wrath of God is going to be poured out.  Don’t even go get your clothes.  Go to the hills, because God is going to release his wrath when that happens.

INTERVIEWER: Grant, a lot of people also say that because Jesus came and died, and we received our Savior and he cleansed our sins, that the Ark doesn’t hold that status anymore with the presence of God.  The presence of God is in us.

GRANT: Well, the fact of the matter is the Bible says the Ark will be important during that period when the temple is built, and then in the Tribulation.  And then is no longer important.  Why?  Because Jesus the Messiah will rule from the throne of David in Jerusalem.  The Ark points to Jesus, the Shekinah Glory.  Jesus will be there is person.  The Ark won’t be important ….

INTERVIEWER RORY ALAC: As of today…and folks, to be clear here…many of the people in Israel…the Hebrews…the Jews…don’t recognize Jesus, therefore don’t recognize what he has done.  They will see the Ark in its Old Testament position… where we don’t.

GRANT: Absolutely.  Let me tell you, back in 1989, when I was writing “Armageddon,” eighteen percent (18%) of the Jews in Israel believed they should build the temple.  The latest figure last year says that 58% of the Jews in Israel…far more than just the religious…the secular Jews say that the temple must be rebuilt because it will be a statement “to ourselves, and to the Arabs and the world…we are here forever.”

INTERVIEWER: Why is the rebuilding of the temple so important?

GRANT: It is a sign to Israel that the Messiah is coming.  They believe that the temple must be built again, and they believe that the prophet Elijah, as Malachi taught at the end of the Old Testament, “before the great and terrible Day of the Lord.”  It also refers to Moses.  These are the two witnesses spoken of the Book of Revelation that they will come.

What is important is, when the Church is taken home to Glory, at the Rapture …at the Resurrection…God will not leave the world without a witness.  That is why he sends the two witnesses…to witness to Israel and the nations.  He also has 144,000 Jews, which he protects supernaturally sealing them, otherwise the AntiChrist would kill them in a day.  But he can’t kill them.  For that period they are protected.  They are going to tell people that the sacrifice points to Jesus.  They are going to tell them that the temple means that the Messiah is coming.  There will be hundreds and hundreds of millions saved from every tribe, nation, kindred, and tongue…not only the Jews…according to Revelation 7.

So, the greatest evangelism that we will ever see is going to take place during terrible persecution and martyrdom in that time.
