The town of Korin in the Idlib Province in northern Syria is under opposition control and has largely transformed itself into a mini-republic in order to survive the civil war. It has been repeatedly attacked, but has thus far survived assaults by the Syrian army. This image is of a funeral following an attack by Assad's troops on Feb. 22, 2015.
