At least 90 killed and over 1000 wounded in Turkey attempted coup

Published on Jul 16, 2016
It's been a dramatic couple of hours following a coup attempt in Turkey. Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan says he's still in power. He's declared the coup over. At least 90 people have been killed and over a thousand injured. Hundreds of soldiers have been arrested. Erdogan's called the coup attempt an act of treason. Gunfire and blasts could be heard in Ankara. Parliament came under attack. So did several media organizations. Most of those killed are civilians. Although officials say the coup is over, the situation remains a confusing one.
