Speaking of Jesus Christ, John 1:11 says, "He came to His own and His own did not receive Him." Many Christians are confused as to why the Jews rejected Jesus as the Messiah. Some of the factors that led to this was the Jews misinterpreted the prophecies of the Messiah and Jesus was not a political conqueror as they had expected. It also didn't help that Jesus pointed out the sins of the religious leaders. He even stated that their father is the devil!
