ISIS running scared: Militants 'retreating' from strongholds after Putin's bombing blitz

VLADIMIR Putin's huge bombing campaign against Islamic State (ISIS) has got the panicked jihadis in full on retreat, it was claimed today.

The Islamist fanatics are abandoning key positions in Syria as Russian jets continue to pound the beleaguered group's arms depots, suicide bomb factories and heavy weaponry.
Mr Putin's bombers blasted a further 33 ISIS targets today, including a deadly surface-to-air missile launcher the desperate terrorists could have used to down commercial airliners.
Intercepted radio messages between panicked jihadi militants revealed how the group's command structure is disintegrating, with many now refusing to fight in areas being targeted by Russian airstrikes.
Russian defence ministry spokesman General Igor Konashenkov said: “The militants are retreating, trying to establish new positioning areas and changing their supply system.”

Russia says it destroyed an anti-aircraft gun in the strikes
Earlier today Mr Putin's jets destroyed a 9K33 Osa short-range air defence missile launcher which ISIS fighters had previously captured from the Syrian army.
A Sukhoi Su-34 warplane dropped a bunker busting bomb on a concrete shelter where ISIS was hiding the launcher, destroying both the weapon and the building.
The anti-aircraft battery, which was installed near the Syrian city of Damascus, could have been used to target Western and Russian fighter planes as well as civilian airliners.
Russian officials said that 32 other ISIS targets in the provinces Idlib, Hama, Damascus, Aleppo and Deir ez-Zor were all hit and destroyed.

They added that the huge bombing blitz was forcing the jihadis to abandon their positions and pull back towards their de facto capital Raqqa.
Earlier this week it was claimed that Russian airstrikes have destroyed so much of the terror group's arms and infrastructure that it is now on the verge of collapse.

The jihadis are said to be retreating from positions across Syria
Dr Afzal Ashraf, from the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), said: "This mythical state will disappear in a matter of hours once the international community decides to act.
"It won't take very long at all to drive them, if not out of all of Iraq or Syria, then certainly the majority of their territories.
"They will hide in towns, but I would say do not to follow them as they would use innocent civilians as human shields.
"Leave them in these isolated settlements and they will soon lose control."

Putin should be bombing the countries who are supplying ISIS with finance and weapons. Cut the snakes head off and it will die.

Let's hope Putin will tell the US and Britain to get it's illegal planes out of Syria or they'll be shot down. The people of the west are shaking their heads in disbelief that their governments are funding the islamic terrorists such as the FSA, who are anti Assad. Why don't western governments actually listen to what their people want?

USA could have done the job of eliminating ISIS is 24 hours... they could not do so as it was against the economic interests of the Europeans... will the USA officials ever learn... probably not as they have Daffy Ducks brains and Willi Coyote's expertise... As regards to Putin, he is the Road Runner.. Beep Beep...

I wonder what they look like as they are retreating. Do they still have that silly mincing walk they use in every photograph we see of them, the one that makes them look like they've just followed through?

Death for a Muslim Terrorist, no matte6r the name used. Unrestrained targeting of all Terrorist in all countries should be the order of the day. No such thing as a human shield in war, ask the German people about this, they remember Dresden and other cities destroyed in WW2. Hit all targets including SO-CALLED RELIGIOUS SITES, they hide weapons /command &control at all those places.

Wouldn't trust the Turks as far as I could throw them. The last thing needed in the EU is Turkey with its millions of muslims.

We received warnings ages ago from ISIS that they intend to send their 'soldiers' into the west disguised as refugees and then said "We will not know what has hit us." These barbarians have been here for years, just waiting for the call. Our politicians know this and continue to do nothing more than sit on their arses. I don't like Putin or what he stands for, but at least he recognises the threat these Islamic fundamentalists pose and has the guts to do the job Cameron and Obama are too cowardly to approach. These two will keep on talking and poking holes in the air with their fingers while someone with backbone sorts out the problem.

Of course they're not invincible. ISIS like their opponents tied up and outnumbered by a factor of about five hundred to one. If these conditions are not met they tend to run for their pathetic and pointless little lives.

You seem to forget that the Syrian army still exists and if true, the Iranians are already sending ground troops.

They will not mess around if they, ISIS try and hide in towns - they will be eliminated

They are heavily into urban warfare, which means that they are amiongst us now and are increasing all the time - thanks to merkel, the EU, and our own government. The more we pound them over there, the more of them will bomb-burst out to Europe. We should unleash our most powerful weapons on them in the middle east, before they splinter, while hardening our borders. However, we are stupid if we think that there aren't sleepers amongst us.

This is our last and final chance to grow some guts; get out of the EU, close our boirders, kick them out. They are plotting against us everywhere, while taking what we give them for free. They think we are stupid for appeasing them; and we are - appeasing them and stupid.

Only to come back later in small hit-and-run terrorist groups. Putin's planes cannot do so much in such a short time. Of course ISIS are not going to stay in large group to get hit.

Mr Putin is showing the IS as the rabble they are and is showing up the West as not really wanting to harm IS due to fear from Saudi repercussions and their compliance with the Kalergi doctrine.

Good news about the invader who was killed on the motorway slip road that we're disallowed from commenting on.
