What is Occupy Peace Please look at this organization I like what they stand for!!!!

What is Occupy Peace?
Occupy Peace is unlike any other peace initiative. Formally launching at a rally at noon on September 20, 2015, at the corners of John and Crown Street in historic Kingston, NY, this peace movement is designed to create a platform to hold elected officials accountable for senselessly prompting war. It will drive a nationwide  initiative to put peace on the ballot.
How will this get done?
The institute will work with inspiring and peace-minded historians and other experts to create a program that provides the tools to make peace a driving force in the halls of government and in the living rooms of Americans. Most notably, the movement will promote these tenets:
» No foreign entanglements.
» Wage war only when imminent threat exists.
» Zero tolerance for illegal wars based on lies and retreaded failed reasoning.
» Build communities here, not foreign nations elsewhere.
» Let the people vote on whether to fund wars.
Why hold a rally?
A movement of this scope and importance needs a high-profile launch. We will use the event to introduce the core principles of Occupy Peace and to energize the initiative. Occupy Peace depends on all of us who stand outside of political dogma to take a stand, to do more than attend peace sit-ins and drum circles. We must understand how to act, how to fight for peace you. You may already be chanting, hoping, singing or  praying for peace. Now, consider fighting for peace.
What can I expect at the rally?
The rally begins at noon at the intersection of John and Crown streets in historic Kingston, NY. The city’s closing down the streets to ally peace advocates to learn about Occupy Peace, to rally behind its core principles and to leave not only inspired, but ready and able to fight for peace. Gerald Celente will be joined by other prominent speakers, artists and musicians.
How much time should I expect to spend at the rally?
We expect activities to wrap up by 3 p.m.
How do I get there?
Kingston is about 100 miles north of New York City, straight up the NYS Thruway at Exit 19. Use google maps HERE to get you to the four corners.
There are two airports less than one hour from Kingston - Stewart International Airport in Newburgh and Albany International Airport. In addition, Westchester County International Airport in White Plains is less than two hours away. And the three major airports serving New York City - Newark (NJ) International Airport, JFK Airport and LaGuardia - are between two and two-and-a-half hours from Kingston.

There is also direct Trailways Bus Service from the Port Authority in Midtown Manhattan to a bus stop a few blocks from institute facilities.

What is the area like?
Kingston and surrounding areas are known around the world for their deep historical, cultural and natural riches. The rally takes place in what was New York State's first capital, formed in 1777. The state's first state constitution was debated and adopted just blocks from our facilities. And you’ll stand near buildings that predate the Revolutionary War and are part of the most historic intersection in the United States.

History and natural beauty extend well beyond the boundaries of Kingston. We sit at the doorstep to the dramatically beautiful Catskill Mountains, which has drawn famous artists and creative thinkers for centuries. World famous towns, like the Woodstock Arts Colony and historic Rhinebeck, are just minutes away. Washington's Headquarters and compound, a 30-minute drive from Kingston, is among the countless national historic sites nearby. West Point Academy, too, is only a short drive away.

What about parking?
There are some free-parking municipal lots in the area and metered parking throughout the City of Kingston, all options within comfortable walking distance.
