Report from South Korea

DFK Launch, Partner in China

by Dr. Brad Long and Rev. John Chang
Participants at the DFK meeting in South Korea
March began with the establishment of the Dunamis Fellowship Korea (DFK). Although the actual event was only two days long, the days surrounding it showed some of the seeds already sown by the Holy Spirit there in South Korea. Following are some of the reports from Brad Long, John Chang and Jidong Shan who traveled to South Korea for the event.

Report on Dunamis in Korea and Mobile Dunamis to China

Dunamis in Korea
Mobile Dunamis to China

By the Rev. Brad Long
In late November, a Dunamis team arrived home after two weeks of ministry in South Korea. I take this opportunity to share with you how the Holy Spirit moved among us in power there.

The first week we held a shortened version of Exousia, our leadership training event. Korean pastors and elders converged on Jesus Abbey for this important teaching which lays the foundation for the Dunamis Fellowship Korea to be formalized in March of 2015.

The following week, these same Korean partners led us to another location in South Korea to provide equipping for the Chinese Mobile Dunamis. From all over mainland China believers came to be instructed in how to cooperate with the Holy Spirit to carry on Jesus’ ministry. You have heard and read about PRMI’s China Initiative. This was our initial Mobile Dunamis event for North East Asia. How these brothers and sisters journeyed to meet with us is truly inspiring. Some traveled up to eight days from across the vast expanse of China, on train and bus, on bike, sometimes on foot, spending nights in bus and train stations. Some spent up to a half year’s salary on travel costs alone. We heard that there were many other leaders desperate to receive this equipping but were blocked from coming, some for financial reasons. We trust the Lord will reveal to us how we can assist those with financial need for future events.

The Holy Spirit on the Move

The Latest Witness to Vision unto Fulfillment
The Mobile Dunamis

Report by Brad Long
Early in April we held Unit #6 of the Dunamis Project, Listening Evangelism, in Flushing, New York. That completes our series there which has been conducted in both Chinese and English.
Unit #6 pulls together all the teaching from the entire Dunamis course. The exclusive focus is on joining the Holy Spirit in dynamic cooperation to fulfill the Great Commission. Admittedly, many of us are put off by the subject of evangelism. First, we can be intimidated by actual faith sharing encounters where we intuit a lack of gifting in ourselves—“Billy Graham can do it, but not me!” Secondly, learning a certain method of evangelism can feel canned, even insincere. In the end, as much as we know we should share the Gospel with others, mostly we prefer to avoid the discussion and the practice. Read More →

Messianic Judaism and the Fulfillment of the Great Commission

13:40 min video – Dr Brad Long talking about why God is calling Christians and Messianic jews together to advance the Kingdom of God

Messianic Judaism and the Fulfillment of the Great Commission

by Dr. Brad Long and Rev. Steve Strickler
For years I have struggled to understand the role of the Jewish people who don’t acknowledge Jesus as their Messiah in God’s master redemptive plans.  Indeed, more pressing is the question of Messianic Jews and Christians cooperating together to share the Gospel to the ends of the earth.  In the last several weeks I have been joined by many of you in praying, “Father, Thy Kingdom Come. “  This has meant both intercession to advance the Gospel as well as to defeat demonic strongholds designed to block the Gospel’s advance.  In the midst of this intercession, the Holy Spirit has pressed upon me the need for us to be joined by those to whom we have been grafted to form the Body of Christ, our Jewish brothers and sisters in Yeshua.  Effectiveness and fuller authority in prayer, I felt the Holy Spirit telling me, would come as we sought to labor together.
I received a powerful word on this last year at the Evangelism Dunamis event in Michigan.  At one point in prayer, the Holy Spirit took me into the heavenlies to engage a demonic anti-Gospel stronghold of Islam, apparently centered in Dearborn, Michigan.  As I was leading the group to pray about this,  the Holy Spirit clearly said, “You will not have the authority in the Name of Jesus Christ to break  the power of the deception of Islam unless you are joined by Jews, my chosen people who know me as Messiah.” Read More →

A new vision for bringing the Dunamis teaching on the Holy Spirit to the Chinese world

PRMI is facing a large number of open doors around the world for our teaching on the Holy Spirit. This is especially the case after launching the Dunamis Institute to deliver this teaching. We really need your prayer now as a major door is opening to us in the Chinese world.
I was a missionary in Korea and Taiwan and have taken a number of trips to China. But over these last 8 years this Chinese work has been carried on mostly by John Chang and through Dunamis Equipping events enabled by the Grace Christian Church in Flushing, New York. All the while I had felt the Holy Spirit telling me that He would in time extend this teaching on the Holy Spirit all over the Chinese world. Well that time has come! And as usually happens, comes in totally unexpected ways. Read More →
