Convoys of Russian military vehicles were seen on 8 August 2016 on the road Simferopol-Yalta in the occupied Crimea. The column included Russian mobile coastal defence missile systems “Bastion” (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K-300P_...). The main role of the Bastion missile system is to engage surface ships including carrier battle groups, convoys, and landing craft.
2 day earlier, on 6 August 2016, Russia started to put check points on Crimean roads. Large groups of Russian soldiers were also recently observed in the North of Crimea.
