First The Bad News

Whether you like it or not, there are big issues facing the world that will affect your life (see opposite). World events are moving rapidly to a climax and the end of this age. Over the last 50 years we have seen rapid population growth, the emergence of a New World Order, an undemocratic EU, electronic (cashless) trading, international terrorism, an apostate church, the rejection of biblcal morality, severe weather events, and increasing national debt. And perhaps most significantly, we have seen the emergence of the nation of Israel. These events are Bible prophecies being fulfilled before our eyes! At the very end of this age i.e. soon, the Bible says Jesus Christ will return to earth in order to:
If you do not believe i.e. you consciously reject Jesus Christ to be your Lord and Saviour, then you will not be gathered together with other believers. You will be left to suffer God's judgements upon a godless and morally bankrupt world. In all probability you will die without ever knowing real life and a real relationship with the Creator God. And you will then face the final judgement:
"He who believes in Him (Christ) is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already" (John 3.18)
Your name will not be written into God's 'Book of Life':
"If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire" (Rev 20.15)
To many this seems harsh. But a holy, just, and moral God must also judge all acts of immorality, injustice and rebellion against Him. The world has forgotten the Ten Commandments!

Now The Good News

Even in the midst of world chaos you can have peace - a peace that only God gives. Jesus came into the world so that each of us can get right with a holy, just and moral God:
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3.16)
There are no strings. Jesus died on a Roman cross to show God's love for each one of us. And His resurrectionis one of the best attested facts in history: Jesus lives and wants to be our Saviour and our friend.
If we give our lives to Christ, if we totally trust Him, we will be set free like a bird at sunset! Jesus said 'you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free' (Jn 8.32).

Let Jesus change your life too

It's simple, but be genuine and honest about what you are doing. It might help to look up the following Bible verses. You simply have to believe that Jesus lives (Acts 1.9), admit that you have done wrong things and thought wrong thoughts in the sight of a holy God (Romans 3.23), ask Jesus for His forgiveness through His sacrifice for you on the cross (John 3.16), and then ask Him to come and change your life. And He will - hundreds of millions of Christians can testify to this.
"If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Rom 10.9)
What happens next?
  • Your new life will be like being 'born again' (John 3.3)
  • Your name will be written in heaven, in Jesus' Book of Life (Luke 10.20)
  • You will start a relationship with the one true God - the God of the Bible, the God of Israel, the Creator of all things (Romans 8.15)
  • You will receive the 'Spirit of Truth' (God's Spirit) to help you live your new life and to teach you truth. God's word is truth - so pick up a Bible and start to read Jesus' words in John chapter 3
  • You need not fear death since you will live on after death, to be forever with Jesus and with God your heavenly Father
  • You will also start to understand world events and you need not fear what is happening to the world. You can claim that special peace in your life that only Jesus gives:

"My peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives ... Do not let your heart be troubled, nor be fearful" (John 14.27)

Big Issues Affecting
Your Life
Let's summarise:
  • Over population: there is a world population explosion: from 1.6 billion in 1900 to 7 billion in 2012 to a projected 9.5 billion by 2050. Cities are getting larger and more chaotic e.g. Shanghai population is now around 18m.
  • A World Government or New World Order: this will take increasing control of your life through such things as visas, identity cards, new laws, computer databases, media manipulation and surveillance. Elements of this NWO are the American Union, the European Union and the Asian Union - you are probably in one of these.
  • Financial control: transactions are almost exclusively electronic, giving government massive control.
  • Surveillance: the world is obsessed with security because of increasing lawlessness. Global terrorism statistics speak for themselves.
  • Declining morality: western morality and ethics are in sharp decline, resulting in increasing marriage breakdown, same-sex marriage, abortion, promiscuity, suffering children, benefit fraud and identity theft.
  • A worldwide apostate church: just when the church should be helping we find a growing false, apostate, political church moving its allegiance from the Bible to World Government, from the message of the Gospels to multifaith.
  • Middle East: this is always in the headlines largely because most Middle East states hate Israel. Further war is prophesied.
  • Wild weather: whilst they debate who or what is responsible, you are faced with extreme weather events. NOAA claim that the US has sustained 134 weather or climate disasters since 1980 (add New York and hurricane Sandy to this). Reuters claim that extreme weather events are increasing globally. Meanwhile water tables are falling, and Pacific islands are being flooded.
The significant point is that most of these themes (and significant detail) are predicted in the Bible. If you don't believe it, test the Bible against what is happening in the world - see reality. The Bible says that these will be the problem areas in the last years of this age. Why not read it?
